Dear Ms. Tillery,
I am grew up in San Francisco and South San Francisco, CA (60's-70's). I went to Junior and Senior High School in "South City". We lived in the Westborough area of SSF.
I am wondering if you are related to James (Dad) and Darrell (son) Tillery from SSF? Jim was my supervisor at AT&T (mid-80's) and Darrell is a couple of years younger than me. and we attended Jr. and Sr. High school together. Please pass on my regards.
On a more personal note...one of my favorite songs of all-time is: "Why Can't We Be Lovers" (by Coke Escovedo). Coke plus Santana, Malo, Tower of Power and all Jazz, Swing, R&B, rock and Roll and Soul music (from the 40's) on helped me through my nine months in Mississippi while in the Air Force. Thank you!
Thank you memories past.

Dear Linda,
Seeing you perform at the Philo Grange was definitely the highlight of that great show. Thank you for coming to Philo; if you're ever in Fort Bragg, just up the coast past the town of Mendocino, and want a place to stay, please let me know.
i am now jeffreybayonne.com but in the early seventies I was 15 in the Fabulous Violations and your lil bro. I know you wont remember but we actually opened for your band The Loading Zone on many occasions. The Keystone Korner SF, the Matrix, the Village, Basin Street West, the Tropacana, Fillmore West. One tues night audition night we got 4 standing ovations and you were there and very prous and supportive as usually. What you taught me was not all rock stars were coke sniffin arogant asswholes, but sweet down to earth caring people like yourself. I will never forget you! If it were not for facebook suggesting we be fiends i myself may have never remembered the early days of my career when SF was the mecca for musicians and the warm hearyted talent rock star sista I had. May this letter find you in good heath and still singing and playin the bass. Your Bratha, love you lots, Jeffrey
Hey, Linda -- I've been playing some of your songs at my Music Together classes for little kids (Good News, Little Rosie, Lift Every Voice, We Are Going), and for the August date at the Ford I'm canceling class so we can all come to your show to hear the real deal! Our last collection had "This Train" in it, so it'd be great for them to hear it the CHC way. I love to be able to share your work and incredible skills with these families!
Love,
Deborah
What a wonderful sound! I look forward to hearing all of you at the Levitt Pavilion concert in Pasadena, CA, Memorial Park.

I am related to the Fua Dia Congo Cultural Dance Group, while browsing for updated news on them I came accross a collaboration link between you's...

Linda,
It has been a long time, but weren't you a classmate at Lowell? I graduated in January, 1966.
Ms. Linda!!
I have told you many times: YOU ARE THE BEST SINGER I HAVE EVER HEARD!!
You voice carries a deep history and the sound of your "vocal soul" is an unending inspiration and education!! May all the riches of the world come to you in return for all the ways your powerful gift of song has lavished us--your listeners--with a music that is deeply-rooted, ancient, infinitely creative, expansive and crucial for all times--but especially NOW!! Peace and Joy!!!
love you - love your music
We love you. We miss you.

Hope to hear of future performances. Lari
I don't have a comment, however, I do have an inquiry. Does your group offer auditions for additional voices or backgroud vocalist?
Sweet music.
We miss your concerts! Hope to see you in Calgary soon! Merry Christmas!
Saw you a couple of times in Vancouver. I live in Cork, Ireland now, so I really hope you'll do a tour here in the near future!
Just discovered your website while doing research on African American Music. You are inspirational! Hope to see you in the Los Angeles area sometime soon.
I fell in love with you when I had the pleasure of seeing you in St John's Newfoundland in the summer of 2003. Back then I talked to you about getting you over to the Carson City, NV area. I still want to look into that. But in the meantime, I will keep an eye out on your calendar and try to catch one of your shows in the Bay area.
Love love love you people! Am an ardent fan who loses my breath when I see you are around Bay Area. Justt found two things Point Reyes and Zellerbach, not in your events listings, can we come current for those of us who check your web site?? Thanks!

The connection of Tillery, NC and California is deep... Black History Month 2010 in Tillery will open the way to a 21st Century methodology to use Agriculture as the foundation to Black Culture.
Still We Sing, Still We Rise to the Congo Fua Dia connection to the Rain Forest of Africa was a gift to cherish forever.

I truly enjoyed you guys performance and workshop... I am glad that our teacher introduced us to your music..
One can loose contact over the years but we can always find our way back. I check often for new music by "Linda and Company". I couldn't locate your "now" ventures until recently. Glad to see you have kept it your dream.
I enjoyed Linda years ago when I lived in E. Bay -- '69 to '82 -- loved her voice. Googled her and found Cultural Heritage Choir. What a great name! I hope to raise my children in part with your music. Thank you.
I was at your concert at Inner Light Ministries and brought my Mom and 7 other friends, we all enjoyed it so much and can't listen to your cds enough.
Much Love,
Sonia
